Policy acknowledgement is a legal artefact in compliance training.
How do I navigate to it?
Course → Configuration → LEARNER EXPERIENCE → Course Material
Course material is the reference content a learner can open at any point in the course — policies, procedures, supporting documents. This screen controls how it is presented and whether the learner has to acknowledge it.

Require Acknowledgement
Requires the learner to confirm they have read the policy before they can continue.
This is the setting that turns reference material into something the learner has to act on. If your organization needs to evidence that someone has read a policy—not merely that the policy was available—this is where that starts.
Switch it on deliberately, and tell whoever owns the policy that you have.
Policy Header and Policy Disclaimer
The 'Policy Header' and 'Policy Disclaimer' are fully customizable within the Policy box within the free text box.
Policy Header—the heading above the acknowledgement. Limit: 15 characters.
Policy Disclaimer—the wording the learner is acknowledging. Limit: 95 characters.
How course material is presented
Course Materials Layout
Choose Accordion or Traditional.
Accordion collapses each item to its title, and the learner expands the one they want. Better for a long list; less likely to overwhelm.
Traditional shows the material laid out in full. Better for two or three short documents a learner is meant to read rather than search.
This changes what the learner sees, so preview both before deciding.
Course Materials Intro
The introductory text shown above the material. Use it to say what the documents are and when a learner would need them. One or two sentences.
Advanced Settings
Display Category Names for Resource Slides
An administrator-only setting that shows the category name alongside resource slides. Useful in a long course where the same document appears in more than one place; unnecessary in a short one.
