Important: we cannot provide voice-overs or edit existing video/voice-over content in Adaptive Compliance courses. For translated courses you must supply your own video subtitles.
Video can be used in several places, including a video slide.
Supported video types
- Upload MP4 — an MP4 file under 25 MB (we recommend ≤ 15 MB to keep the package small). For longer/larger video, host on YouTube or Vimeo and link to it.
- Link to MP4 — link an MP4 hosted elsewhere.
- Link to external video — a YouTube or Vimeo URL (make sure it's publicly/organisationally visible).
To add or change a video, use the replace video in the flex editor to change or upload a different video
Subtitles.
Use the built-in subtitles editor to add subtitles by time code, or Upload Subtitles (SRT/VTT). If translating, English subtitles must have time codes and text so they're translated with the rest of the course; the video file should not contain embedded subtitles.
Introductory video
Many OTS courses open with a short primer video. To replace it, open the Video Slide in the Introduction group of the structure tree, then replace the video (file or URL) and add subtitles.
Important Note: Please be aware we cannot provide voice-overs or edit existing video or voice-over content in Adaptive Compliance courses. You will need to supply your own subtitles for translations specifically for videos.
