Send a team member an in-app reminder about their outstanding required training, straight from your team's readiness list. You can also open someone's profile first, to be sure who you are nudging and to see how they are doing.
Before you start
You nudge from the readiness list on the Overview tab of Team Management. Team Management appears for you only if you have people reporting to you. Administrator access on its own does not show it. You do not need administrator access.
Nudge someone to complete their training
A nudge sends the person a reminder inside the app.
Two limits can stop a nudge:
- You can nudge only a person who has a required course that is overdue or due within the next 15 days.
- You can nudge the same person once every 24 hours.
If the person has no required course that is overdue or due within the next 15 days, Nudge is unavailable.
- Find the person in the readiness list.
- Select the More options button on their row.
- Select Nudge. The line "Notify user to complete training" appears under Nudge as its description.
- Select Confirm when Learn:Go asks "Send a reminder to <name> to complete their training?"
To filter or search the list, see Check your team's readiness.
Learn:Go confirms with "Nudge successfully sent" and the line "<name> has been successfully nudged to complete their training." The person receives a notification in their notifications list reading "You've been nudged!"
Note
A nudge is an in-app notification, not an email. Someone who does not open the app will not see it.
Check what your team member sees
The notification shows your name and picture, how long ago you sent it, and the title "You've been nudged!" When the person selects it, Learn:Go opens "Complete your training".
The first line reads "<your name> nudged you · <number> courses to complete", or "<your name> nudged you · 1 course to complete" for a single course, followed by their required courses that are overdue or due within the next 15 days, each with a due tag. The list shows what is outstanding when they open it, not when you sent the nudge. If nothing is left to do, they see "You're all caught up".
After you nudge from a person's profile, the Nudge button on that profile becomes unavailable until you leave the profile. When you open the profile again within 24 hours of your nudge, you can select Nudge, but you see "You have already sent a nudge today. Try again tomorrow." and nothing is sent.
The 24-hour limit applies to you and that person only. A manager who also has the person in their team can send their own nudge in the same period.
Open a team member's profile
To check who you are nudging, or to look at one person more closely, open their profile from the menu:
- Select More options on their row.
- Select Go to profile.
In the mobile app, Go to profile is the link under the person's name at the top of the "User Actions" sheet. Anyone visible in your list can be opened this way.
The profile shows the person's name, job role and who manages them, their overall readiness tag, and a Nudge button, so you can nudge from here as well.
It also shows four counters for their courses, required or not: Assigned, Completed, Overdue and Due soon. Select any of the four to open the matching list of that person's courses. Each course shows its status.
Note
The Overdue counter counts incomplete courses past their due date, and the Due soon counter counts incomplete courses due within the next 15 days. The readiness list and the Nudge button look at required courses only, so the counters can show more overdue or due soon courses than the list does.
Troubleshooting
If you try again within 24 hours, you see "You have already sent a nudge today. Try again tomorrow." and nothing is sent.
