Prerequisites: Before adding your framework, decide what all the different entities are going to be, how they're going to be structured, and which learners will go where. You'll want to get this right first time if you can.
Summary: Click ADD NEW FRAMEWORK and follow the instructions.
1. Go to Settings > Frameworks and click ADD NEW FRAMEWORK.
2. Fill in the relevant fields and click ADD.
3. Click YES to start adding entities.
Note: "Entities" is the name for each item in your framework. See the What frameworks are and how they are used guide for more info.
4. Fill in the details of your first entity and click ADD. To use entity field sets, see the Fields guide. To hide a framework or an entity from users, select Hide from users on the add or edit form. Its child entities are hidden too. A message asks you to confirm when you save: click Hide Entity. The framework or entity no longer shows in the entity picker. Users who are already assigned to it, and fields already assigned to it, do not change. A child entity that a parent hides shows Hidden by parent.
5. Now you can continue adding new entities to build out your framework. You can do this by clicking either ADD ENTITY or opening the menu for an entity and clicking Add child entity.
If you edit an entity you can now move it around your framework by clicking the under Parent.
To delete a framework or an entity, open the menu for it and click Delete. A message will ask you to confirm. When you delete, the framework or entity and all of its children are deleted.
Now that you've created your framework, have a look at the Assigning frameworks to learners guide to start using it.
