Opening a course and the editor
Click a course from the dashboard to open the editor. You'll see:
- Left sidebar — the structure tree showing your course's pages grouped into Introduction, Assessment, Categories, and Conclusion.
- Top toolbar — Home · Configuration · Translations · Versioning · Build · Download, with Course Flow at the right.
- Main area — your current page, with tabs for Content, Assets, and Page Settings.
Editing and saving
- Click any field to edit it directly (text, title, image, etc.).
- Editing autosaves as you work — no manual save step needed.
- A Save button also appears at the top right of the editing pane; use it if you prefer to save explicitly.
- Preview Course and Publish sit in the top bar for quick access.
Switching tabs
- Content — edit the main page content (text, images, media, etc.).
- Assets — manage images and media for this page (now mostly moved to the Media Library at the left sidebar).
Page Settings — control layout, theming, branching, and other page-level options.
User access and collaboration
We recommend only one person edits a course at a time. Multiple people editing simultaneously can cause overwritten data or lost work.
When a teammate is in the same course, you'll see their avatar in the Active Users column on the dashboard. Inside the editor, you'll see their live cursor. If they're editing a slide, category, or activity, that card is locked to prevent you both changing it at once.
For multi-person input, use the Course Review Tool (see Article 9) rather than shared live editing. It's designed for feedback, approval, and collaborative refinement.
