User contributions are a type of object that is only available in undertake an online course learning experience.
In a user contribution object, learners can record and upload videos, documents, links and free text. They can also view and comment on each other's contributions, depending on privacy settings.

the material discussed in the course, or provide links to relevant material. Users can choose to make their
contributions private, allowing only group tutors to view them. You can make this the default by editing
the object and ticking the Hide contributions by default checkbox shown under Game Settings (1).
How to add a user contribution object
In your learning experience, go to Manage content, click NEW OBJECT, and select User Contribution.
User contribution objects are largely set up in the same way as any other learning object in an undertake an online course learning experience. There are, however, some extra settings for this object type. The first is Instruction. The instruction appears on a user contribution object and is used to let your learners know what you would like them to upload.
The second setting is within the Game Settings area. Hide contributions by default makes new contributions to this object private to start with. A private contribution is visible to the learner who made it and to tutors. When Enable Sign-Off is off for the object, contributors can clear the Only let tutors see this content checkbox to share their contribution with other learners. When Enable Sign-Off is on, all contributions stay private and contributors cannot share them.
Only the following file types can be uploaded: mp4, m4v, flv, pdf, ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, txt, mp3, mpga, m4a, wav, jpg, jpeg, png, gif, mov, ssc. User Contribution objects also have a Feedback and Sign-Off section, with the Enable Sign-Off and Enable Feedback options and a Sign-Off Prompt field for tutors.
