The Asset Library is a centralized repository for all of your media files you upload to Elucidat.
You can add assets directly to the library, either one by one or in bulk so that you and others can add them to Projects at a later time. Assets are also added automatically to your library when you upload them directly to a Project.
It also offers you the ability to search for over 3 million royalty-free assets to use in your Projects. This can be useful if you're just starting or your organization doesn't have many assets to choose from.
|
Note: Access to the Asset Library is exclusive to users whose role includes it in their permissions. Users who do not have this permission will still be able to browse the library when adding media to their Project, but they will not be able to perform management actions such as moving an asset or deleting it. To learn more about user roles and their permissions, see Feature Focus: User Roles. |
Using the Asset Library
You can access the Asset Library by selecting Asset Library from the top toolbar:
You'll be taken to the Asset Library where you can choose to upload a new asset, manage your existing assets, or search for assets using the Filters menu:
Searching the Asset Library
Type in the Name field to search directly for your Asset by name.
Select an option from the Type drop-down menu to filter the results by type of asset. For example, selecting Images will limit your results to images only.
Under Order, you can order the assets by the following parameters:
- Recently uploaded
- Recently editing
- A to Z
- Z to A
You can also filter your results by the folder the assets sit in by selecting the folder name. A folder is selected when it is filled in black:
To carry out a new search, press Reset filters and then add new search text to the Name field.
It’s a good idea to call your images names you will find useful when searching for them later on. You can also select an asset and enter information about it in the description box to give further context about the asset.
| Note: We do not recommend that the Asset Library is used as the only repository of your content. Content is stored here so it can be easily accessed by your courses, but we recommend that you also keep any essential assets elsewhere on your own company’s storage system. This means should you need to restore any assets, you can do this quickly. |
